Trash & Recycling Pickup

Trash Services

Richmond Sanitary District collects trash from residential customers once a week, Tuesday through Friday. Weekly trash pick-up for residential customers requires a 90-gallon Rosie Roller container. A second container is available upon request for an additional $1.00 applied to your monthly sewer bill.

Proper Container Placement

Please have your container out by 6:00 a.m. the day of your pick up to ensure collection. All containers MUST be removed from the collection site within 12 hours after the collection service has been performed.

All bagged waste needs to be placed inside the Rosie roller. Extra items next to or on top of the Rosie roller could disrupt your collection.

Your container should be oriented the lid opening facing the street and placed on level ground at the edge of the alley or street. You must have a three (3) feet clearance from any obstructions such as a second "Rosie" container, vehicle, mailboxes, trees, and utility poles. If you have further questions about the proper way to place your container please call (765) 983-7450 Option 2.
