The Richmond Rising: Community Action Plan culminated in 12 priority action steps ranging from marketing efforts to long range planning and development projects. Two priority projects focused on planning for the on-going success of Richmond's parks, open spaces and recreational programming options. The 2020 Comprehensive Parks Master Plan provides a 5-year vision for development, maintenance, and operation of the City of Richmond’s entire park system.

The plan builds upon the community’s vision to GROW the city’s-built environment, CONNECT the city’s destinations, PROTECT the city’s natural resources and CELEBRATE the city’s offerings and accomplishments.

The plan was completed and approved by the Parks & Recreation Board in October of 2020. To read the completed plan and other related documents, visit the "Documents & Forms" section below.
