Tim Brown Appointed to the Position of Chief of the Richmond Fire Department.

Mayor Dave Snow has appointed Tim Brown to the position of Chief of the Richmond Fire Department.

Chief Brown began his career with the Richmond Fire Department in 1988. Over the course of his career, he has received several accolades and awards for his service including the Trailblazer Award for Outstanding Service, Firefighter of the Year, Emergency Medical Technician of the Year, among others. He has served as a local coach to RHS Baseball, Richmond Youth Soccer, and as a Boy Scout Post leader.

Mayor Snow said, "Chief TIm Brown has consistently displayed exceptional service in our Fire Department, and has spent over 30 years preparing himself to assume this role. After an extensive interview and search process, Chief Tim Brown has shown himself fully prepared to bolster our Fire Department and secure its future for the next generation of first responders."

Chief Tim Brown commented, "I'm honored to have been chosen as Chief of the Richmond Fire Department and look forward to continuing my commitment to the safety and well-being of the citizens of Richmond.”
