Cordell Municipal Pool Opens for the Summer on June 5th

RICHMOND, IN. – The Richmond Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce the opening of the Cordell Municipal Pool this Saturday, June 5th at 12 pm. Come try out the brand new figure 8 waterslide, 1-meter diving board, a drop slide or just hang out in the main pool! Younger guests can also enjoy the “Splash Pool” with its brand new slide. With plenty of lounge chairs, umbrellas, picnic tables, and benches, there is space to relax and spread out to enjoy a day in the sun and the wide variety of snacks offered at the concession stand.

The pool is located at 9 Southwest 13th Street and is open Monday through Saturday from 12 pm to 6 pm and on Sundays from 1 pm to 6pm. Daily entry fees are free for children ages 2 and under, $4 for children between the ages of 3 and 17, and $6 for those aged 18 and older. Season passes are also available, youth (ages 3-17) priced at $55, adult passes (18+) priced at $70, and family passes (up to 4 in the same household) priced at $160 and $25 for each additional person. Family Nights are returning at Cordell Municipal Pool on Tuesdays and Thursdays 7:30 to 9:30 pm starting on June 15th, weather permitting, for an evening of fun for everyone.

The Learn to Swim Program is also hosted at the Cordell Municipal Pool that offers the opportunity for people 6 months or older to learn basic swimming skills from qualified instructors. Classes are small to allow more one-on-one time for individuals to learn. All sessions are priced at $50 and registration is required.
