Beat the Heat Initiative Seeks Community Input on Extreme Summer Heat

September 27, 2023

Public invited to participate in survey for Beat the Heat

The City of Richmond is sharing a comment survey with Richmond residents to better understand how extreme summer heat affects the community. This is the final part of a two part survey that is a part of Richmond's Beat the Heat initiative, which is running 2021-2023 to develop and implement strategies to alleviate the public health impacts of extreme heat.

By completing this 10 minute survey, residents will help the City understand how heat affects the lives of residents, what residents currently do to stay cool on hot days and nights, and what resources and services residents think Richmond should provide to address this issue.

The survey is accessible online. Both English and Spanish surveys are available. To access the online survey, Richmond residents should go to https://iu.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_d73gJTgBBw9yrHM.

The survey will be available to the public until November 10th.

For questions about the survey or Beat the Heat, please contact the project's P.I., Dr. Dana Habeeb at dhabeeb@iu.edu.
