The City of Richmond Street Department will be collecting leaves October, 22nd through December 7th.

The Richmond Street Department will begin collecting leaves on October 22nd,2018 and run thru December 7th,  2018. Six Crews will cover all areas of the city within a 10 to 14 day period.

Your leaves should be raked into the roadway approximately two feet from the curb or edge of the road where possible. In areas that have little or no curb lane, the leaves should be raked to the very edge of the curb or roadway. The leaf piles should be no higher than two feet so that the vision of drivers will not be obstructed and to make leaf pick-ups more efficient.

Please keep yard debris; including grass clippings, branches, garden waste, etc. out of the leaf piles or our department will not be able to remove them.

Residents who live on U.S. 27, U.S. 40 and S.R. 227 South (Boston Pike) must bag their leaves and call for a special pick up (983 – 7450), which will be done on Mondays.  Residents are limited to ten 30-gallon bags of leaves a week. Richmond Sanitary District will not pick up leaves in your weekly trash collection.

If you have questions, feel free to call the Richmond Street Department at 765-983-7225.
