US 40/Lamar Lundy Bridge Resurfacing

September 25, 2019

the City of Richmond has a new website

The Indiana Department of Transportation has started work on the resurfacing of the US 40/Lamar Lundy bridge. While temporary lane restrictions will be in place during work, the road will remain open.

On Friday, September 27th, the westbound north lane will be closed for crews to start epoxy work on the bridge walls. The eastbound south lane will remain closed while crews begin surface poly work. The westbound southern and eastbound northern lanes will remain open. Please note that the overlay application will generate substantial dust, and once this work has begun, InDOT is advising all local traffic to avoid this area, as possible.

All work is expected to be completed by Nov 1st. This is an over $300,000 improvement. Please drive carefully and watch for workers.
