New 3-way Stop at North E and North 10th Street

the City of Richmond has a new website

The City's Street Department is installing a new three-way stop at the intersection of North E and North 10th Streets. This follows a mid-August approval from the Board of Public Works. According to Lt. Donnie Benedict, leader of the Richmond Police Department's traffic division, "This is simply done for line of sight and redesign of the roadway issues. It's not because there's an excessive number of accidents or anything. It's getting ahead of the game." After the new signs are in place, a stop barrel will be put in the middle of the intersection to draw attention to the change. Afterwards, there will be a short period of enforcement in the area "as a reminder and to retrain the drivers," Benedict said.
