Our annual "Welcome to Winter" event is back!
As we welcome the changing of seasons, community members will have the opportunity to:
- Stroll by foot or horse drawn wagon to take in the beautiful luminaries throughout the park,
- Children can share their wishlist with Santa ~ crafts will also be available in Santa’s workshop,
Santa’s workshop will be located in the Parks Administrative Office
- Bundle up for a Winter Outdoor Movie ~ hot cocoa and cookies will be available.

Shelter Decorating Contest
o First come first serve shelter location and must be reserved by contacting
the Festival Coordinator, Jim Dykes 765-983-7423 or through our
o Celebration of Lights is held on Saturday December 3,from 6-9pm
o Most Festive Awards will be judged at some point that evening.
● Decoration Time:
o Non-profits will need to enter the park no later than 4to start decorating
as we have a 5K Race prior to the event which starts at5:00 pm and the
Park is closed to any traffic at that time.
● Decoration Parameters:
o You may decorate however you wish within the spirit of Christmas.
o Lights will be pre-strung around the roof of each shelter by the
Department prior to the event.
o A suggestion would be to pass out candy, provide an activity, or make sure
to bring information on your organization.
o The most important part is to have FUN and increase a festive
o Clean up can start at 8:45 and you are responsible to clean up your area in
its entirety minus the pre-strung lights provided.
